Sharing a database
Copy a direct Canvas database link and understand who can open it.
Every Canvas database has one direct link. Open the ⋯ menu at the top-right and choose Copy share link. The link opens the database on its default view; renaming the database does not break previously copied links.
Links do not grant access
A share link is not an invitation. The recipient must already have access to the database. If they do not, Monad hides whether the Canvas exists.
Canvas access is independent from Spaces. A database can be available to the whole workspace or to specific people, Groups, or Space audiences. An audience grant does not place the database inside that Space: everyone opens the same direct page from the Canvas section at the bottom of the sidebar, below Direct messages.
Canvas managers can change access. Editors can update rows, views, schema, and comments; viewers can read. Workspace admins can manage every Canvas.
Archive
Use Archive from the database menu when it is no longer active. Archiving removes it from normal Canvas lists while retaining rows, views, comments, and revision history. Existing authorized links remain readable.
