Signing in to Monad

You sign in to Monad once, at onmonad.ai, and that sign-in carries you into every workspace you belong to. You don't create a separate login for each workspace — one account, one place to sign in.

Ways to sign in#

On the sign-in page you can choose whichever is easiest for you. All three are always available:

• Email and password — enter your email and password.
• Passkey — sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, your phone, or a security key. Tap Sign in with a passkey, or just start typing your email and pick the passkey your device offers. Passkeys are the fastest and most secure option.
• Continue with Google — sign in with your Google account.

You can add more than one of these to your account and switch between them sign-in to sign-in. Set them up under Sign-in methods.

If you use two-factor authentication#

If you've turned on a two-factor authenticator, signing in with your password will ask for the six-digit code from your authenticator app after your password. Passkey and Google sign-ins don't ask for a separate code — a passkey is already two factors on its own.

If you can't reach your authenticator, use one of the recovery codes you saved when you set it up.

Choosing a workspace#

After you sign in, you'll see the workspaces you belong to. Click one to open it. If you only have one workspace, or you came from a workspace link, you go straight in.

If you don't belong to any workspace yet, you'll see options to create a workspace or enter an invitation.

Signing in from a workspace link#

If someone sends you a link straight to a workspace (like a channel or a message) and you're not signed in, Monad takes you to sign in and then brings you right back to where the link pointed. If you're already signed in elsewhere, this happens automatically — you'll just see a brief redirect.

If you open a workspace you're not a member of, Monad tells you so and links you to your list of workspaces.

Staying signed in, and signing out#

• Signing out of a single workspace leaves you signed in everywhere else.
• Signing out at onmonad.ai signs you out of Monad on that device.
• To sign out of every device at once, use Sign out everywhere in your active sessions.

Forgot your password?#

On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? and enter your email. If an account exists, you'll get a reset link. Resetting your password changes it for your whole account.
