Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated June 5, 2026. This policy describes prohibited uses of Monad. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone — your team, your guests, and the agents you build.

You’re responsible for your use of Monad and for what your agents do on your behalf. The list below isn’t exhaustive; we may update it as the product and risks evolve.

Don’t use Monad to…

  • Break the law or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights, or upload content you don’t have the rights to use.
  • Post or generate unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or sexually exploitative content, or content that sexualizes minors.
  • Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk messages, or distribute malware.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated output as human, or impersonate a person or organization in a deceptive way.

Responsible use of AI & agents

  • Don’t use agents to generate content prohibited above, to evade safety controls, or to attempt to extract another party’s secrets, prompts, or data.
  • Don’t point agents, the web tool, or connected (MCP) servers at third parties to scrape, spam, overload, or attack them, or in ways that violate those parties’ terms.
  • Don’t use Monad for high-risk decisions that require individualized human judgment (such as legal, medical, financial, employment, or safety determinations) without meaningful human review.
  • Keep a human in the loop for consequential actions, and don’t rely on AI output without verifying anything important.

Don’t abuse the service

  • Don’t probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without authorization, or bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Don’t reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law, or resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly allowed.
  • Don’t use automated means to overload the Service or run workloads unrelated to your legitimate use of Monad.
  • Don’t interfere with other customers’ use or the integrity of the Service.

Enforcement

If we believe use violates this policy, we may remove content, throttle or disable features, and suspend or terminate access — with notice where practical, or immediately where needed to protect the Service, others, or comply with law, as described in our Terms of Service.
