Cookie & Tracking Notice
Last updated June 5, 2026. This explains the cookies, local storage, and similar technologies Monad uses, and your choices.
Monad is a workplace product, not an ad-supported one. We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to make the app work — not to track you across the web or serve ads.
What we use
- Strictly necessary — a session cookie that keeps you signed in, short-lived tokens used to securely establish realtime connections, and a security/bot-mitigation cookie set by our CDN (Cloudflare) to protect the Service. The app won’t work without these.
- Preferences — local storage for settings like light/ dark theme and layout, so the app remembers how you like it.
- Local app data — to make the app fast and to support offline editing, Monad stores a local copy of some workspace data in your browser. You can clear it through your browser.
- Product analytics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not set cookies or track you across sites, to understand and improve how the product is used. We don’t use analytics for advertising.
Third-party cookies
Some flows are handled by providers that may set their own cookies — for example, our payments processor during checkout, or a sign-in provider if you use SSO. These are governed by those providers’ policies and appear only when you use those features. See our Sub-processor list.
Your choices
- You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and core features.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of any sale or sharing — which, as noted in our Privacy Policy, we don’t do anyway.
