Connecting your X account
Connect X (Twitter) so your agents can read and post as you.
Connect your X (Twitter) account and your agents can read posts and post on your behalf — search, look up people, read timelines, and (when you ask) post, reply, like, and follow as you.
Setting it up
X requires your own developer app, so connecting takes a one-time setup:
- Open Settings → Agents → MCP Servers and scroll to Connectors, then find X (Twitter).
- If your workspace admin has already set X up, you'll see a Connect button — skip to "Connecting" below.
- Otherwise click Use my own credentials. Create an OAuth 2.0 app in the X developer portal, register the callback URL shown in the form, then paste your app's Client ID and Client Secret and choose Save & connect.
Connecting
Click Connect. You'll be taken to X to authorize, then returned with a green Connected badge showing your @handle. From then on, you can ask an agent things like "what are people saying about our launch?" or "reply to that mention" without thinking about credentials.
What your agents can do
Once connected, your agents act as your account. They can read (search, look up users, read timelines) and — when you ask — post, reply, like, and follow. Posts are public and immediate, so be clear about what you want posted.
Reconnecting
If you see an amber Reconnect needed badge, your access expired or the credentials changed. Click Reconnect and authorize again.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect at any time. Monad immediately stops using your X account. To also revoke access on X's side, remove the app in your X account settings.
